Traffic

Reckless Driving
Virginia has some of the toughest traffic laws in the United States. Reckless Driving is a class 1 Misdemeanor and a conviction will result in a permanent criminal record. In addition, for Virginia drivers, the DMV will assign six demerit points and the infraction will appear on your driving record for 11 years. In serious cases of Reckless Driving, there is the potential for jail time and/or license suspension.
